Inflight 03:51
Following the sun home we are avoiding the night, Until the clouds below are far above. It’s 8 o’clock, the sun sets where you are; my heart waits where you are. And I still hear the ocean, and I still hear you say… We used words like forever, like waves wash sand castles away. And I still hear the ocean, with my ear against this shell. The turbines go into reverse we’re landing soon, and I can’t wait to see you. The closure in your touch and to look into your eyes, I must have parted with so much to be left with this vice. And still, she sings war stories with conviction and a nostalgic glisten in her eye.

Give it Up! 02:41
Yeah, she’s on the tip of my tongue as I survey the broken skyline. I’ve been chasing her train of thought for days and days. And it’s taken me far too long to see that I can’t dislodge her head from this cloud. But when the skies open and raindrops are falling on my head, she’ll be falling down. Give it up ‘cause you know you’re only playing with my heart. When the boys with the sweet words leave you, you’ll be alone again. Yeah, she kisses like a detective searching for clues and missing pieces. She’s acting like she’s got a secret everyone should know. But if a prehistoric butterfly can batt its wings and tear holes in the fabric of time, I’m sure she can change the weather with the batt of an eyelid. So still those rain drops are falling on my head, they keep falling down. Give it up ‘cause you know you’re only playing with my heart. When the boys with the sweet words leave you, you’ll be alone again, and I’ll be over it.

This Year 03:51
Always running on a short fuse baby c’mon, We’re not trying to take the world by storm here. I just wanna get off to a good start this year. Is this ‘me putting one good foot forward’, or is this a major setback to our plan? ‘Cause I don’t know what fight I’m losing. We’ve got a long road here before us, and I’ve already packed my bags. We won’t take for granted the things we have. Whispering sweet nothings in my ear. Is this ‘me putting one good foot forward’, or am I just dancing to a different tune? We’ll stay alive if we just keep moving. We’ve got a long road here before us, and I’ve already packed my bags. We won’t take for granted the things we have. Whispering sweet nothings in my ear. I’ll assume the worst if you’ll hope for the best, lest we forget, ‘Cause I’d cast my will against a storm, for you, for this. Yeah.

Oh, she draws a crowd like moths draw to light, And she charts the room like a butterfly on it’s first flight. The rules work around her like an ambulance in traffic. This intrigue pulls me closer, she’s electrostatic. ‘Cause this is not something flesh and blood alone can stand. Hide me away in Your Love, and throw away the key, ‘cause I can’t take what I deserve. I’m mesmerized by her silvery eyes, She’s like thunderstorms to my blue skies, It’s better than she doesn’t know. I propose a toast to the ones who dare to believe in a chance that was never there. For all these pixelated words are failed attempts to recreate. Tell me is this fiction, tell me anything but tell it straight. You run like steel through my veins but I’m not here to force Your Hand. And this is not something flesh and blood alone can stand.

Whisper me words to hear over and over, A light in the dark til we meet here again. And I’ll be back before you know it, You don’t even need to pretend. We travel a road that is seldom chosen, The wise end their journey before it begins. And the battle-weary voyager has no choice but to carry on, Their beloved asleep at home, Hoping a light’s been left on. It’s all that keeps me hanging on. I will love you, even if I can’t say it right. And I will love you even if I can’t stay tonight. Her heart is a rose, its roots entangled, Braving her wares from the test of time. But in the ground though be it stable, Just enough is hard to find. This is no silver-screen re-creation, Or all I’d romanticise it to be, But if you’ll walk this road beside me, I’ll give everything for you. Yeah I’ll give everything for you, Sweetest I’m on a mission I need to see through. It’s all I have to give to you… But I will love you even if I can’t say it right, And I will love you even if I can’t stay all night. I still love you even though I’m not sleeping right. And I will love you even if I can’t stay all night. And I will love you. (‘Cause nothing’s changing) Jealous jokes aside, could you stand this for love - would you stand this for love? ‘Cause nothing’s changing, no nothing’s changing. Could you stand this for love? Would you stand this for love? And I will love you even if I can’t say it right, And I will love you even if I can’t stay all night. And I still love you even though I’m not sleeping right. And I will love you. And I will love you even if I can’t say it right, And I will love you even if I can’t stay tonight.
